The Cannabis Spiritual Center (CSC) in Malibu, California, takes the high road of scholarly research, like Esalen in Big Sur, to establish the personal entheogenic spirituality of cannabis. Like the Paramahansa Yogananda Lake Shrine on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, CSC is a unique manifestation of the God within all of us.
CSC is devoted to establishing a decentralized, democratic, spiritual model that simply encourages free-thinking individuals to take one toke of high-grade cannabis once a week in the privacy of their home to connect with the God within your own mind.
Since my first Special Sunday Service (SSS) of one toke on April 21, 1996, I have enjoyed one toke every Sunday for over 21 years and proved that cannabis is a safe, reliable and inexpensive entheogen to open one’s mind to spirituality on demand. Cannabis works for me, and with careful attention to the “12 Guidelines,” I trust that your experience will also be very rewarding.
Please join the Cannabis Spiritual Center and enjoy the joyous cosmology with just one toke to God in the privacy of your home. CSC advocates the responsible individual use of cannabis for spirituality where such use is legal.
Thank you for your interest and support of individually based cannabis spirituality. As a 501(c)(3) organization, we welcome your tax-deductible donation to our building fund.
Our Mission
The mission of the Cannabis Spiritual Center is to establish cannabis as a mild God-manifesting entheogen with guidelines for individuals who wish to experience the God within their own mind with one toke of cannabis once a week in the privacy of their home.

Bernard released One Toke To God at the Annual Psychedelic Science Conference in Oakland in 2017.
CSC Business Model
The CSC will be open to the public and encourage visitors to experience The Celestial Sphere. CSC will produce and/or co-sponsor workshops, weekly lecture series, VIP monthly speakers by foremost speakers visiting Los Angeles, hold an annual Soma Celebration, organize special events, publish a monthly newsletter, provide meeting rooms, dining facilities, auditorium, mediation spaces and rent the VIP Suite or the top level of the CSC for guests and/or corporate events. The CSC business office will accept donations from members and fees for events from sponsors and supporters, organize and publicize CSC events, answer inquiries and mail, maintain the CSC web presence, generate press releases, file for grants, co-op with other spiritual, religious organizations and churches. CSC will generate a positive cash flow from services and events, operate within a budget, be self-sustaining and solicit 501(c)3 donations.
CSC Architectural Concept
As a retired architect, I visualize the Cannabis Spiritual Center consisting of three inter-connected geodesic domes with gold anodized aluminum struts and clear plastic panels supported by four massive pylons accented with wood paneling, a mosaic terrazzo floor, Persian rugs, glass doors and walls. The entry level will be crowned with the Celestial Sphere – a three quarter dome – in addition to private meditation spaces that are open to the public. The West Wing will feature a multi-purpose auditorium for 400 people and the VIP Presidential Suite. The East Wing will provide meeting rooms, a formal dining room for 12+ people, commercial kitchen, library, public restrooms, plus security and misc. offices. The lower level would feature living quarters, business offices, storage for stage equipment etc., and VIP parking with access to the heliport. 8-10 pyramid cabins may be built to provide accommodations for retreaters, guests and visitors. Gate house will anchor the entry to the property with an attached work shop and underground parking for 200 cars. Total CSC space is approx. 50-75,000sf exclusively.
